Abstract Accepted — IAC 2026, Antalya
Our paper From Concept to Habitation has been accepted for the 77th International Astronautical Congress (Session A5.4 — Deep Space Habitats). The research critically reassesses the ISU “Rosas Mission” — a Starship-derived lunar habitat concept — against NASA Lunar Safe Haven studies, examining structural readiness, radiation shielding, biological monitoring, clinical capability, and crew habitability. A seven-author, cross-disciplinary team. October 2026, Antalya.

Invited by Dr. Nozair Khawaja for a Master’s level course on Astrobiology, the presentation titled “Living Beyond Earth: Space Habitability & Architecture” explored human habitability and systems integration for the emerging space economy. Omar shared his extensive expertise in designing complex infrastructure to support life beyond Earth.
Designing Humanity’s Future: Identifying Socio-Political Models for Off-World Human Communities
April 2025
In this article, we identify potential socio-political models for off-world human communities. The goal is not to pass judgment on which model “should” we adopt but to explore what is possible and perhaps inevitable when humanity seeks to establish a home beyond Earth.
This article, in which I identify 11 such models, is the first of a series to highlight, discuss, and evaluate the underlying anthropological principles that would allow us to move forward and develop communities in space. The hope is that by understanding these governing underlying principles, along with the needs and conditions of such space communities, we will be better positioned to design the structures and habitats that are most suitable.

🚀 Introducing EDEN Prime: Pioneering the Orbital Logistics Frontier 🚀
Today marks a pivotal moment for Future Space Architecture (FSA) as we unveil EDEN Prime — a spacecraft and a cornerstone for the emerging space economy. EDEN Prime is designed as a general-purpose orbital logistic spacecraft, setting the stage for a vibrant economy where goods, resources, and an entire supply chain are seamlessly managed and operated in orbit.
With EDEN Prime, we’re envisioning and actively constructing the infrastructure for an orbital logistics network that supports true Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) and Lunar B2B operations. FSA aims to decentralize the space economy, open doors to frontier entrepreneurial ecosystems, and ensure access is no longer a barrier to innovation in space.
